Sweet Music blows the roof off at The Aggi for Paddle4Relief!

Paddle4relief’s second fundraising music gig, this time held at The Aggi in Braunton on Friday night, drew in the crowds to listen to some of Devon’s most talented musicians.

The crowd was blown away with such an expansive line up and were charitable enough to relinquish their hard earned cash to the sum of more than £220.

Douglas E Powell, who has played at every Paddle4relief event, and who is their music maestro, along with Jim Jones, brought together an array of musical brilliance to entertain the amped onlookers.

Douglas E Powell opened the night with his mellow acoustic sounds and Paddle4relief founder, Tim Tanton, cannot thank Doug enough for his tireless efforts in bringing together such a musical extravaganza.

Peter Bruntnell, another firm supporter of the Braunton based charity, yet again drew in the crowds with his new band, The Murder of Crows. And yet again Tim and the team are so in debt to them for their amazing support.

Jim Jones and his band kept the audience mesmerised with their awe inspiring artistic set, and then it was the turn of the rhythm and blues band, The Devil Delta Blues Band.

Robin and the guys blew the Aggi roof off as they got the crowd fired up and rocking on the dance floor with there own arrangements of classic blues tunes with Douglas E Powell wired on the bass, showing another side of his musical versatility.

Paddle4reliefs next fundraiser will be on the beach at Saunton on the 17th August where one can expect to enjoy around six hours of acoustic musical brilliance following the exhausting paddle from Saunton to Croyde and back!

Remember this is for the ‘Forgotten Victims’ of the 2004 Asian tsunami. Communities are still struggling to overcome the trauma they suffered from such a devastating disaster.
