Best paddle board for beginners

Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), is a fantastic sport – a great way to travel, and a brilliant way to get in touch with nature. Now SUPs are even more social – you can stand up to enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean from your personal watercraft. You’ll also be able to see down into the underwater world more easily, so it’s great for wildlife spotting too. If you’ve never tried paddle boarding before and want to give it a try before you buy, there are plenty of dedicated watersports ceters around the UK and Ireland. They can rent you a stand-up paddleboard so you can try it out before making any purchases.

Once you make up your mind and decide to invest in your own equipment, there are several boards out there to suit all tastes and budgets, but one of the most important parts of deciding on a beginner paddle board is finding one that is easy to stand up on. Having a stable board makes it easier to get started, but several factors influence how stable the board will be. The most important thing to consider is your comfort level. Before purchasing a beginner paddleboard, you must determine your ideal paddling style. You must also examine the type of board you will be using. Beginner paddle boards can be purchased in several different shapes and sizes.

Barefoot paddle boards

The grip on the top of most decent paddle boards is designed for bare feet. If it’s warm outside, you don’t need to wear any shoes while paddle boarding. For cooler temperatures, it’s fine to wear light trainers or neoprene boots. (the ones that look like they are made of the same stuff as a wetsuit – it is the same stuff).

You don’t need to wear shoes when you paddleboard. Paddleboarding is a fun way to get in shape, and it’s not that strenuous — so you can easily leave your shoes until you go out running.

Best Inflatable Paddle Boards for beginners

Picking out the best paddleboard for beginners is difficult. There are a lot of important considerations that need to be taken into account, and the trendiest looking board might not necessarily be the best board for you.

Your size will determine what kind of paddleboard you should be going for. If you are a heavier paddler, you will need a wider, thicker board to ride but a smaller person will have more stability on a narrower board. Whatever type of board you choose, make sure to wear a life jacket so you and your partner can relax and enjoy the river. All of the boards listed below are inflatable paddleboards. They are affordable, lighter, and easier to carry when travelling. With a backpack, you can paddle away to your heart’s content, away from any crowds.

The first SUP on our list is The Aqua Marina Breeze. It is a great All-Round stand-up paddleboard for people who are just starting. It is the smallest model in its range, making it an ideal board for smaller paddlers, with a maximum weight of 100kg. This brand also offers two mid-size models in the All-Round range – The Vapor (140kg) and Fusion (150kg). If you’re a smaller paddler who wants to bring some extra luggage on your journey, you should consider these 2 models.

We have also looked at the Aqua Marina Monster SUP board. It is the biggest model from the All-Round range with a capacity of 170kg! It is designed for bigger and heavier paddlers and those who wish to carry more luggage.

The prices for these boards start from €359 and go up to €519.

XQ Max Paddle Board

So, you’re probably wondering if the XQ Max inflatable stand-up paddleboards are any good (we’ve got a full breakdown and review of the XQ Max paddle boards here). As per our research, we found that the XQ Max SUP boards are inexpensive and of average quality all-around. In comparison to the other paddleboards explored in this article, the XQ Max is very poorly documented. There is no official website of this brand and we couldn’t find the brand story. This alone might be enough to be aware of this product as it shows a clear lack of dedication from the seller.

They could be a good choice for those who are on a tight budget and want to continue with the casual hobby, however, we do not recommend this paddleboard to beginners, especially those who have never done SUP before. The board is narrow and so, new paddlers that aren’t used to handling a smaller board will find them difficult to control. These boards are best used for smaller paddlers as larger paddlers might find them to be a bit wobbly.

To conclude, the XQ SUP paddleboards are rather basic, simple, practical, and cheap.

Stand up paddle boards for beginners

Stand up paddle boarding is a fun, friendly sport for people of all ages. It’s an exercise that can be done almost anywhere, and it’s something that anyone can enjoy regardless of their physical condition. The best part about it is that you can even paddle with your dog!

A paddle board is a medium-sized recreational watercraft, usually between 8 and 12 feet in length, 28 to 32 inches in width, and 4 to 5 inches in thickness. Beginner paddle boarders should choose a wider, longer and thicker board. This will offer the greatest stability to learn the basics on a flat body of water.
