A massive thank you to Brett from Ripcurl for all the goodies donated for the youngsters in Sri lanka.
We at paddle4relief are extremely grateful for the interest shown.
Ripcurl are massive within the surfing industry whist Paddle4relief are a small, young, yet passionate and influential Devon based charity helping to motivate and empower a community in Sri lanka torn apart by the 2004 Asian Tsunami.
We hope that this is the start of a long and mutually productive relationship where we can both achieve a positive input to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Thanks must also go to Tiki for their continued support and help.

It would be great to hear your story, comments or feedback about the day, so please add your bit on the guestbook page of our site, come on, don’t be shy..

Whopping 7 Mile Challenge
Local surfer and founder of Paddle4Relief Tim Tanton will embark an whopping 7 mile challenge of paddling from Woolacombe Beach to Saunton Beach on Saturday 16th August to help raise awareness of the main Paddle4Relief sponsored Paddle-a-thon the very next day from Saunton Beach to Croyde and back.
On Sunday August the 17th, the event is expected to be quite a spectacle with lots of surfers signing up from all over the UK who will descend on North Devon next weekend. There will also be a raffle, BBQ and live music on the beach.
Tim comments on his solo paddle on Saturday 16th “I just wanted to do this pre paddle to encourage participants to come to the event on Sunday with your family and friends and support Paddle4relief”.
He continues “It is such a good way to pay your respects and at the same time have fun”.

“Surfplugs™ are a custom moulded earplug developed specifically for surfers. They will help to prevent Surfers Ear and infections by keeping your lugs snug and toasty even in the heaviest of winter surf.”

Southfork ATB Ltd (Braunton) have been very generous with a selection of raffle/tombola prizes.
thanks guys
i’ll be out and about tomorrow! so watch out you local businesses, i’m after something!
August 4th, 2008
A huge thank you must go to all the businesses that support our cause with their generous donations through out the year.
Asking for donations for the raffle/tombola etc is not my favourite past time!
Give me half a coconut shell and a iron bar and i’ll happily dig holes for the support posts of yet another traditionally built structure in Sri Lanka.
I’ll do my best not to miss out anyone as i commence this years main event plea for donations!
So far huge thanks must go to: Studio 1A, The Corner Bistro, Tangles, Second Skin, and Paint a Pot studio.
If anyone would like to help with this task or would like to donate something then please feel free to email myself or Karen.
Thanks guys n gals
